Green Door All Stars - Youth Stand Up! (Autonomous Africa)

Over the past year we've been travelling back and forth working on an international collaborative recording project funded by Celebrate (Big Lottery Fund), featuring young musicians from Ghana, Belize and Glasgow. We're extremely excited to announce that the results are coming out as an album 'Youth Stand Up!' to be released on Oct 9th on JD Twitch, Auntie Flo and Midland's label 'Autonomous Africa'. All proceeds from the release will be split between the Tafi Cultural Institute in Ghana and Lebeha Drum Centre in Hopkins, Belize.

We have also hooked up with the Tafi Cultural Institute in the Volta region of Ghana to offer 3 week study tours for musicians from the UK. The proceeds from these tours will go towards building a community studio in the village of Tafi Atome. We will be holding a fundraiser at Glasgow Art School on Friday November 27th to celebrate the album release and all proceeds from the night will go towards the community studio in Tafi Atome. The night will feature live performances from Golden Teacher and Sacred Paws plus DJ sets from Ghana Sounds, Sordid Sound System and a special guest.
